HR Generalist

Konecranes Italy is looking for a talented and passionate HR Generalist to join our Human Resources Department in Agrate Brianza (Italy), responsible for providing support for 250+ employees based in 6 job locations.


Your main responsibilities will be to


  • Contribute to the delivery of HR key projects and associate people activities, working directly with the Country HR Manager and the Konecranes HR Community.

Local key projects might include the drafting and updating of policies and company rules, as well as the transition towards a more digitalized and agile way of working. 

People activities might include Performance Management, Salary Review, Engagement Survey, Learning & Development, Diversity & Inclusion, other initiatives to drive cultural change.

  • Own and deliver the talent acquisition and recruiting processes in Italy, liaising with all involved functions and external partners. Promote Konecranes employer branding locally.
  • Take care of the whole employee life cycle, from onboarding to offboarding processes, according to Group policies and local H&S practise.
  • Excel at employees’ data quality in the HR Information Systems and compliance. Key contact for internal quality audits and privacy requirements.
  • Maintain a strong supervision of the monthly timekeeping and payroll process, fully outsourced to an external provider, to ensure the delivery of all necessary administrative work related to the HR function. Key contact for accounting and external auditors.


Desired skills and experience


  • Master of Science (MSc), preferably in Business Administration or Law. A postgraduate certification in HR topics, or evidence of continuous learning, is requested.
  • At least 5-year-experience in a HR Generalist role, with exposure to all core HR processes including Talent Acquisition and Personnel Administration.
  • Excellent English knowledge and familiarity with multicultural environments.
  • Appreciation and understanding of local contractual and legal implications.
  • Well organized, able to work with minimal guidance and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, positive thinker capable of flexing solutions to changing demands.
  • Brand ambassador, strong communicator.
  • High level of accuracy and analytical skills.
  • Learning agility and genuine interest for HR topics.
  • High personal integrity and ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential documents.
  • The HR Generalist must be open to visit the other Italian sites when needed – occasional, daily travels will be required. Therefore, a car license is a mandatory requirement.
