Here at Konecranes we have 3 Business Areas, one of which is Port Solutions, focusing on lifting equipment and automation solutions within a port environment, equipment includes, cranes straddle carriers and lift trucks to name but a few. Continuing to support our customer's needs we are recruiting a Service Technician to perform the maintenance of this equipment. With most of our customers being coastal, being willing to travel is a requirement for this role in the UK and Europe. This role can also offer the opportunity to work internationally, but this is not expected.

 

We are looking for a Service Technician to be based in the South of the UK.

You will report to the Operations Manager, Port Solutions

You Will: 

  • Electrical installation, commissioning, inspection, and testing including service and repair of Port Solution products, such as harbour cranes and straddle carriers
  • Trouble- shooting equipment malfunctions, in Electrical equipment, Drive technologies and PLC's in an industrial environment.
  • Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues
  • Accurate and descriptive problem reporting
  • Complete inspection and examination documentation

You Have: 

  • Electrically qualified with a basic understanding of mechanics
  • Experience of performing electrical commissioning and repairs to machinery, PLC's and drives
  • Knowledge of Siemens S7 is a bonus, but not essential
  • Familiar with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) and LOLER
  • UK driver's licence
  • You can work at height
