Digitalization plays a strategic role in our journey to advance customers’ material flows. As our products and services are becoming more and more digitalized, information security needs to be built into and around everything we do. Konecranes has developed an information security strategy to support our path towards digitally enabled and secure operations & products. To support this key initiative, we are now looking for a Lead Security Engineer to join our growing team.
Lead Security Engineer is a new global role within our organization. You will contribute broadly to the secure software development lifecycle of Konecranes products and services. You will work with development of industrial control systems, as well as application development.
As Lead Security Engineer you will be responsible for development of secure software development practices and tools, such as threat modelling, secure design, secure coding and vulnerability management. You will work closely with product teams globally and contribute to requirements, architecture, and interface designs. You guide and coach development teams and help to find optimal solutions to fulfil security requirements.


In this role you will report to Pasi Vilja, Chief Information Security Officer.

What should you bring? 
To succeed in this role, you would need to have a degree in Engineering, a solid track record on security and at least few years of experience with industrial control systems and product development. You should have experience with relevant security standards, such as ISO 27001 or ISA/IEC 62443, as well as in project management and agile methodologies. We expect that you are proficient with secure software development methodologies and tools and you have hands-on experience in secure coding and security testing. In addition, it's vital that you are a systematic and self-driven person who has a can-do attitude and willingness to help others. Fluency in both written and spoken English is a must.
