We are now looking HSE Manager to Hämeenlinna for a maternity leave substitution. HSE Manager’s duties will involve improving health, safety, security and environmental culture of our operations at Hämeenlinna. HSE Manager belongs to our Management team and will be reporting to the General Manager. In this role you are part of our Wire Rope Hoists Supply operations, which is responsible for production of hoists, electrical and mechanical components for Industrial Cranes and Alfas in Hämeenlinna. This position will be a fixed-term contract until December 31, 2021. 
Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Support line organization to improve safety attitude and skills
  • Be part of a friendly and professional team with a target to develop our operations to achieve world class performance what comes to HSE and productivity.
  • Oversee and develop various processes to ensure compliance to relevant standards and regulations such as
  • HSE-inductions and trainings (incident investigations, safety observations and HSE-meetings, competence, chemical and third party management, auditing processes)
  • Coordinate risk assessments
  • Managing certified ISO 14001 Environmental management and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety management systems including related audits
  • Coordinate many smaller and bigger development projects
  • Health, Safety and Environmental reporting and communication
  • Follow national and international regulations
  • Giving safety inductions, trainings and audits in different locations
  • Co-operate with corporate HSE-team, Occupational Health Care, Human Resources and many other relevant parties
  • Managing security practicalities and video surveillance systems in collaboration with a private security company
  • Energy management, waste management
  • Cleaning services management & managing working clothes and personal protective equipment

What you should bring?
Our ideal candidate will have:


  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people on different levels in the organization. Ability to influence and motivate people on all organizational levels is also important.
  • Good project management and team working skills
  • Good communication and networking skills (Finnish and English).
  • At least three years of experience in a position related to HSE
  • Experience of ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and/or ISO45001 management system
  • Preferably, a M.Sc. degree in safety management and engineering or equivalent.
  • Background in manufacturing industry in a large organization is an advantage
