Sourcing Manager, Supply Operations Finland

Konecranes is seeking an experienced individual with procurement or manufacturing industry background to fill our Sourcing Manager, Supply Operations Finland position. Supply Operations is an essential part of Business Area Industrial Equipment and it is responsible for production of crane components like light lifting equipment, wire rope hoists, electric chain hoists, winches, gearboxes, drives, end trucks, electric motors, and control systems. As a Sourcing Manager you will be responsible for managing Supply Operations´ supplier base in Finland together with your team and the global central team.  We are looking for a candidate who can take care of and develop our suppliers´ performance in terms of availability, punctuality, price and quality. Key Activities:

  • Manage Supply Operations´ supplier base in Finland to create trusted and efficient supply
  • Consolidate business to best performing suppliers
  • Establish and lead the Supply Operations Finnish sourcing team in the future
  • Lead the action planning of the team and monitor the progress
  • Efficient and active communication within procurement community, operations management, suppliers, material management and quality
  • Lead/support cross-functional teams to improve cost, quality, delivery punctuality and reduce risk
  • Tracking and reporting sourcing related KPIs
  • Lead the supplier negotiations and agreement making
  • Contribute to procurement organization development activities (Global and IE)

 

Key Requirements:

 

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Master’s (or Bachelor) degree, major in electrical/mechanical engineering or economics
  • At least 5 years working experience in procurement, manufacturing industry or similar roles
  • Ability to develop strategies and tactical plans in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills in English
