Production Coordinator




The Production Coordinator is an integral member of the Houston factory team and is responsible for supporting the delivery of overhead bridge cranes of varying size and complexity to our customers. The Production Coordinator is responsible for driving, and organizing various project activities, and Production supporting functions, under the direction of the Factory Manager.




  • Primary source for creation of Purchase Orders for Indirect Factory purchasing.
    • Resolve any issues concerning invoicing as it relates to created Purchase Orders.
  • Support planning, organization and follow manufacturing work schedules with the factory operative staff member to achieve delivery date requirements.
  • Regularly participate and at times lead morning meetings with Production operatives, and later with support staff.
  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the factory floor and front line project managers as required.
  • Work to resolve any technical problems or arrange technical support as necessary on production floor.
  • Witness factory acceptance testing (FAT) of finished product and resolve any identified FAT issues.
  • Help coordinate third party and client inspections when required.
  • Maintain accuracy and timely reporting of KPI metrics as it relates to Delivery, Cost, Skills Training, etc.
  • Report project status to all stakeholders via direct communication and using current scheduling software.
  • Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in the Houston facility and when visiting other company or client facilities.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of Work Instructions to document processes at the Factory.
  • Effectively communicate and follow through the movement of parts between different departments.
  • Support company’s Lean Manufacturing initiatives: 5S Improvements, Kaizen Events, Lean Projects to eliminate wastes, etc.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as required by Factory Manager.




  • Bachelor or Associates degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering technology, business management, supply chain management, project management – or – suitable experience.
  • 2-5+ years of experience supporting scheduling, manufacturing or project management activities.
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite of products.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical principles is an asset.
