POSITION TITLE: Blaster/Painter

 

REPORTS TO: Paint Department Team Lead

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITY :

 

· Follow all KC Safety Directives & Guidelines.

· Sand Blast and Painting Operations.

· Apply prepared primers and paints to components.

· This paints to proper consistency and viscosity for spraying or brushing application.

· Adjust equipment to obtain the finished requirements.

· Operate paint booth, painting, and blasting equipment.

· Maintain spraying equipment and booths in working conditions.

· Operate crane and forklifts.

· Maintain inventory of paint and supplies.

· Maintain clean and orderly work area including equipment and performs all assignments in a safe manner and in accordance with established procedures.

· Other duties assigned by Supervisor.

 

EDUCATION:

· High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.

 

EXPERIENCE:

· 1 to 2 years experiences preferred.

· Airless and Conventional Paint Sprayer experience preferred.

 

Other Requirements:

· Visual acuity to read directions and prints to inspect parts closely to ensure that they meet standards.

· Difficult positioning and assembling requiring a high degree of accuracy and dexterity.

· Physical ability to perform work requiring frequent stooping and bending.

· Physical strength to lift and carry 50 pounds. Cranes and Forklifts are available for heavy lifting.
