Konecranes Port Solutions provides products and services for material handling in ports and terminals. Business Unit Port Services are the one-stop, global port services partner powered by deep equipment expertise. We are now looking for a Condition Monitoring Specialist to join the Business Development & Customer experience team. The Business Development & Customer Experience organization within Port Services is responsible for exploring/identifying new services, developing service agreements, and establishing new services like service consultancy. The unit is also responsible for the overall and consistent customer experience across the business unit and identifying and developing new business models, as well as looking at inorganic growth opportunities through exploration of M&A strategy and strategic alliances.

You will help us grow our competences as well as deliver services driven by condition monitoring for Port handling equipment. You will combine data understanding and analysis with deep product knowledge to bring the asset health condition visibility as well as the corrective action recommendations that customers expect from such a service.

  • Alignment with our Field Service Engineers and the Parts teams to engage them in corrective actions and/or spare parts supply
  • (Internal) recommendations on how to improve the monitoring system, and the crane design

We also expect you to help us extend the condition monitoring capabilities to other equipment types. Your condition monitoring domain expertise will guide us to make the right choices in the ongoing development of such capabilities.

You will for example share your knowledge and insights on which sensor suppliers we should use and why, and where to position the sensors on the critical components we want to monitor.

You will therefore collaborate with other stakeholders involved in these developments such as Product Management and Engineering Teams within Konecranes. You may occasionally be required to travel to customer sites to install or support installation of such systems on existing cranes.

  • Ability to think from a customer perspective, and desire to solve their problems
  • Experience and desire in working in a culturally diverse environment, collaborating across multiple functions and teams
  • Fluency in English, other languages a plus
