Konecranes Port Solutions provides products and services for material handling in ports and terminals. Business Unit Port Services are the one-stop, global port services partner powered by deep equipment expertise. Our range of port services starts with equipment maintenance and increases alongside any terminal's evolution, where we are continuously expanding the boundaries of our customer's operational efficiency. We are now looking for a Condition Monitoring Specialist to join the Business Development & Customer experience team. The Business Development & Customer Experience organization within Port Services is responsible for exploring/identifying new services, developing service agreements, and establishing new services like service consultancy. The unit is also responsible for the overall and consistent customer experience across the business unit and identifying and developing new business models, as well as looking at inorganic growth opportunities through exploration of M&A strategy and strategic alliances.
You will help us grow our competences as well as deliver services driven by condition monitoring for Port handling equipment. You will combine data understanding and analysis with deep product knowledge to bring the asset health condition visibility as well as the corrective action recommendations that customers expect from such a service.
Main responsibilities:
You will be responsible for delivery of condition monitoring services for port handling equipment, including:
- Installation Support
- Analysis and reporting on crane conditions for customers, globally
- Continuous contact with customers to recommend corrective actions
- Alignment with our Field Service Engineers and the Parts teams to engage them in corrective actions and/or spare parts supply
- (Internal) recommendations on how to improve the monitoring system, and the crane design
We also expect you to help us extend the condition monitoring capabilities to other equipment types. Your condition monitoring domain expertise will guide us to make the right choices in the ongoing development of such capabilities.
You will for example share your knowledge and insights on which sensor suppliers we should use and why, and where to position the sensors on the critical components we want to monitor.
You will therefore collaborate with other stakeholders involved in these developments such as Product Management and Engineering Teams within Konecranes. You may occasionally be required to travel to customer sites to install or support installation of such systems on existing cranes.
What you should bring
- Must have experience in vibrational analysis as well as condition monitoring. CAT-III or at least CAT-II certification
- Technical experience on industrial equipment gained through engineering or hands-on maintenance, repair, service and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of port handling equipment is an advantage
- Digital savviness, customer orientation, flexibility to adapt to changing plans as it sometimes happens as part of an innovation journey
- Ability to think from a customer perspective, and desire to solve their problems
- Experience and desire in working in a culturally diverse environment, collaborating across multiple functions and teams
- Fluency in English, other languages a plus
