Information Technology organization develops innovative IT services that help to transform data into knowledge. IT provides services to enable secure, reliable and productive operations around the clock. The service portfolio is wide; from IT services provided to enable Konecranes business processes, through Helpdesk, all the way to the business intelligence and analytics identifying new business opportunities.


Product Lifecycle Management unit is responsible for management and development of IT systems related to products, product development and engineering. You will be part of PLM team, which is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting Konecranes global PLM/PDM systems.


As a Configuration Owner, you will work in close co-operation with IT infrastructure, application development and system support teams. We are accountable for global PDM system (Teamcenter) with high availability and performance commitments to wide set of engineering and manufacturing operations.


Your main responsibilities are:

  • Owns technical functionalities of PLM applications including integrations
  • Translates functional requirements into IT requirements and system design
  • Owns the overall design and architecture of the PLM system infrastructure
  • Ensures technical integrity and compliance with guidelines on architecture, security, GDPR etc.
  • Part of team that resolves major incidents together with application support team
  • Ensures solution quality in close co-operation with concept owners, and configuration owners of other solution areas
  • Scrum master duties


What should you bring

To succeed in this position, you need have a degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 3+ years’ work experience in the field of IT processes.


Required technical skills:
•    Good understanding of IT development and maintenance practices
•    Strong knowledge about how to develop and optimize highly scalable and distributed multi-tier client-server environments
•    Good understanding about infrastructure related resources (storages, databases, virtualization, cloud and networks)
•    Configuration knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
•    Interest in low-level back-end optimization and monitoring methods


Required general skills:
•    Service focused and persistent mindset
•    Good troubleshooting skills
•    Good communication and language skills: good English, both spoken and written is required
•    Experience about ITIL information technology framework
•    Scrum / Agile way of working knowledge


Skills seen as advantage but not required:
•    PLM knowledge, especially Teamcenter knowledge
•    DevOps knowledge
