Konecranes Information Technology organization develops innovative IT services that help to transform data into knowledge. The Data-to-Knowledge cluster within IT plays a key role in enabling Konecranes digital transformation thru the next generation data platform, analytics, data science and, data governance solutions and platform capabilities. As our Data Platform Owner you will be responsible for maintaining a holistic view on the development, maintenance and governance of the Data Platform capabilities. With your solid expertise in MS Azure cloud stack, you will strengthen our highly motivated and dedicated Data and Analytics platform team and you will promote the penetration of best practices related to data platform management as well as you will accelerate the knowledge-sharing process across our internal professional network. In this role you will play a key role in managing complex data platform configuration, optimization as well as related coordination tasks. You will work closely with architects, solution designers and other colleagues who are also involved in topics around capacity planning, prototyping, deployments, optimizations, monitoring and troubleshooting - just to name a few. You will be at the heart of collaboration between development and platform teams and contributing to the implementation of our Data-to-Knowledge strategy and the development of the next generation data platform by providing support for solution design, configuration planning, deployments and operations activities.

What should you bring
To succeed in this role, you need to have an expertise in MS Azure stack, having also hands-on experience with MS Azure Data & Analytics platform services and infrastructure. We highly appreciate background from managing large data and analytics platform setup, from design to operations. It's also crucial that you have a drive to create innovative and breakthrough solutions, you have a passion for working with new technologies, learning continuously and challenging status quo.
We also expect you to have:
•    a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other relevant major
•    solid knowledge of database technologies, especially related to such databases as Azure Synapse, SQL DB, Cosmos DB and data manipulation, migration & processing methods (SQL, SSIS, ETL)
•    competence in Azure Storage solution, Data Factory service and compute architecture across PaaS and IaaS stack
•    previous experience with CI/CD - Azure Dev/Ops, Git, Azure Resource Manager
•    background from cloud capacity planning, infrastructure management and cost optimization
•    strong understanding of access control, data and application security, connectivity
•    knowledge of BI and analytics deployment
•    basic knowledge of system integrations, messaging and API management
•    Fluency in English

•    Distributed computing (MPP, Spark)

•    Advanced data processing concepts – data virtualization
•    Basic understanding of machine learning
