Looking for a chance to shape the digitalization journey of a world leading company of lifting businesses? We have a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our IT organisation as the Director of IT Product Development and Supply Chain!  

We are hiring a seasoned professional to lead our global Product Development and Supply cluster that consists of about 65 highly skilled IT professionals! In this Director role you will work within our IT organisation that provides IT services that enables corporate-wide Product, Procurement and Material Delivery Processes. These include for example Product design, Product Lifecycle Management, Indirect Purchasing, Supplier Collaboration and Global ERP services.  
As the cluster’s Director you will get to contribute to our way of working including strategy, road mapping, budget, resource planning and reporting. We are looking for someone who has a strategic and business-oriented mindset, yet someone who gets excited about developing IT architecture especially on the areas of Product Development and Supply Chain. Your key responsibilities: 

  • Driving the cluster’s way of working and management as well as the IT Services provided end-to-end to meet Konecranes business expectations. 

  • Leading the cluster’s development initiatives forwards following our architectural principles, aligned with Konecranes business needs. 

  • Representing the cluster in the different review sessions, steering groups and areas of the IT organisation. You will also be a member of the IT Management Team. 

  • Providing knowledge and understanding of the end-to-end business processes as well as IT architecture focusing on the areas of Product Development and Supply Chain. 

  • Support the ongoing internal process (1KC) implementations. To mention a few of our development projects, we are currently working on e.g., ERP system (SAP), ERP processes with SAP Fiori technology, implementation of our new eProcurement processes based on Jaegger, further development of our PLM processes based on Teamcenter and providing our business partners with different CAD systems integrated to our PLM system.

What kind of qualities are we looking for? 

  • A suitable academic degree in engineering or business 

  • Demonstrated history of leading and developing an IT organisation in an industrial business area 

  • Business understanding combined with knowledge on the different aspects of data. 

  • Experience of and an interest in agile practices like Scrum and DevOps. 

  • Knowledge on the Konecranes internal systems, like SAP, Teamcenter and Siebel CRM is seen as beneficial.
