Konecranes Supplier Development & Quality is a part of Global Procurement and sourcing organization and is responsible for developing business critical suppliers, and planning and executing audits in a defined Konecranes way.


We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and self-motivated individual who will lead supplier process development initiatives with clear focus on improving external supplier’s quality, on-time delivery, efficiency and overall performance according to the Konecranes business needs.    


Key Responsibilities:


  • Partner with key suppliers to pursue continuous improvement, problem solving, waste elimination with the objective of improving performance to the business units.
  • Implement proactive and reactive strategies and tools to drive performance improvements in the supply base.
  • Drive problem resolution process at supplier, incl. ability to lead problem solving teams.
  • Provide supplier quality and delivery oversight, analysis, and performance tracking.
  • Lead the implementation of quality clinics at suppliers.
  • Develop and execute action plans to address opportunities in supply base.
  • Analyze strategic quality and delivery performance data.
  • Report results to the internal customers at various levels of the organization.
  • Involve internal customers in problem resolution when needed.
  • Contribute to the advancement of tools and techniques in the Supplier Performance teams





  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, Electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience that involves key activities like assessing supplier capability, applying lean manufacturing and value stream mapping in a relevant role from manufacturing, quality or engineering domain.
  • Experience with ISO-9001 and other quality management standards and systems
  • Certification in Six Sigma and/or Lean processes. Six Sigma Black belt is an added advantage.
  • Ability to use Advanced Quality Planning tools (such as FMEAs, PPAPs, etc.) and capacity analysis and production readiness tools
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills and ability to influence individuals and groups.
  • Proactive, able to work independently as well as part of the team
  • Communication skills: Fluent in written and verbal communication (English), able to choose the communication style according to the situation and culture
  • Passion for learning: willingness to take on new challenges and share knowledge
  • Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to travel extensively across globe.
