Konecranes Information Technology organization secures sustainable growth and operational excellence through IT Innovation and data insights. The service portfolio is wide; from IT services provided to enable Konecranes business processes, through Helpdesk, all the way to the business intelligence and analytics identifying new business opportunities.

We are looking for a Solution Designer for Konecranes Data Platform development, to join our IT Data to Knowledge organisation. In this role you will be joining a team which enables Konecranes-wide digital transformation through the next generation data platform capabilities, analytics and data science. Your day-to-day will include designing solutions using data platform to fit for the purpose (with or without data warehousing), leading the end-to-end data delivery development from source system to the front-end application, and ensuring quality solutions that are compliant and according to architectural guidelines.

The position is hybrid-remote and based in Espoo or Hyvinkää, Finland, and reports to Manager, BI & KDP Development.

Your key responsibilities:

• Leading the development of end to end data delivery solution from data ingestion to data delivery and ensuring performance and quality in it
• Design work of Data Vault, Data Mart, Reporting layer or any part of the solutions
• Design work of Data models
• Design work of Data loading jobs, DB objects (Views, Stored Procedures etc.)
• Ensuring code review & design compliance according to architecture guidelines and technology provider recommendations.
• Leading code review per production release in co-operation with AMS
• Supporting business analytics and data science requirements formulation for data solutions
• Defining guidelines and practices for technical design and implementation by development partners
• Maintaining professional and technical knowledge

What should you bring:

• Strong experience in successfully delivering Data Warehouse (DW) and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, e.g. star schema understanding
• Hands-on experience in working with data integration and processing tools of MS Azure
• Extensive knowledge in Data Warehousing concepts, Data Vault and other Data modelling techniques
• Knowledge on SQL, CI/CD techniques, Power BI
• Knowledge on Data lakehouse concept, Databricks and Fabric is a benefit
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Top-notch problem solving and communication skills
• An analytical mind, a systematic way of working, and a service mindset
• A degree in Computer Science or similar

This role is ideal for a data enthusiastic person who has proven experience of building data warehouse solutions and reports, and who desires to move more into end-to-end solution design and building a common data platform.
