Robotic Process Automation, RPA, is a technological platform with the capability to profoundly transform the way traditional office work is done. RPA offers a variety of ways for companies to leverage their workforce and empower people to focus on high value activities by automating the repetitive routine tasks in the office. Solution Expert, RPA is a key role in Konecranes RPA Core Team. The main responsibility is to develop the automated workflows on our RPA platform in close cooperation with the Business Process Analysts, Process Owners and other stakeholders. To deliver a successful automation leveraging our RPA toolset in an optimal way, you will participate in several steps ranging from process analysis to the actual automation deployment. In addition, Solution Expert together with Business Process Analyst trains the business users on how to interact with the automated processes and ensures that best practices for RPA development are followed across the automation lifecycle. Solution Expert, RPA reports to Manager, Robotic Process Automation.


As Solution Expert, RPA, your main tasks and responsibilities can be summarized as:

  • Provide insight on key technical requirements for the business process analysis to confirm that process complexity is accurately captured from RPA viewpoint
  • Identify technical automation challenges and propose further process improvement opportunities to Business Process Analyst and Process Owner
  • Define and document the technical requirements needed for implementing a process that is approved for automation
  • Develop and follow best practices and other technical guidelines for RPA configuration to build the automated workflow with our RPA platform
  • Test and verify the automation results in cooperation with Business Process Analyst, Process Owner and process key users and once approved, deploy the automation to production in agreed schedule
  • Participate in training the key users to interact with and monitor the automated process
  • Drive for continuous improvement in our own activities in the Konecranes RPA Core Team by utilizing your current and rapidly accumulating expertise and know-how in this area
  • In addition, you have a unique chance to make a big impact on all activities in your responsibility area and shape the nature of your work in the direction that leads to best results


What should you bring

We are looking for a candidate with a suitable background and a preferably hands-on experience in the field of business process automation and/or intelligent process automation. While both innovative and inspiring, you also have a systematic and analytical side to you coupled with ability to learn new things fast. You do not shy away from new challenges and take pride in being a forerunner in utilizing new technology to transform how office work is done. To succeed in the position of Solution Expert, RPA, we expect you to have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology or similar


Furthermore you:

  • Have a strong foundation to understand business systems and processes
  • Are a target-oriented team player with good execution skills who likes to interact and communicate with different types of people across a large international organization
  • Take a structured yet pragmatic approach to challenges ahead of you and have a positive mindset towards change
  • Communicate fluently in English both verbally and in written, Finnish and other languages are an advantage
  • Have experience with UiPath and/or other leading RPA platforms including intelligent process automation tools
  • Experience with software development (developing solutions e.g. with VBA, .NET, C#, Java, Python, R), AI/ML tools and working in a dev/ops model is considered and asset
  • Understand the basics of database technologies (e.g. MsSQL, Oracle) and different systems interfaces
  • Are familiar with best practices in project work and project management methodologies (experience in agile and lean approaches is considered an asset)
