Global sustainability function is driving Konecranes’ group level sustainability agenda forward. We are responsible for reporting, communication and driving several strategic initiatives to lead the change. We are now seeking for a Sustainability Manager to join to our energetic team to advance our Climate Action agenda. You will have an active role in ensuring that our decarbonization efforts are based on robust data, automated reporting, and fact-based decision-making. In addition to working with data you will also get to participate in interesting projects, advancing our environmental work.
Your key responsibilities include e.g.
• Act as an owner of climate data related rules and guidelines, ensuring compliance with GHG standards and SBTi criteria.
• Lead emission data collection for scope 3, and provide support for scope 1 and 2.
• Validate and support the collection of data inputs, including supplier specific data.
• Develop data analytics and support the organization in utilizing the data effectively.
• Participate in developing tool capabilities and provide data-related needs for various projects.
• Engage in Climate Action related activities such as supplier engagement, renewable energy sourcing, and offsetting.
• Join various environmental projects. Based on your interest and competencies, you could also participate e.g. in circular economy innovation work or organize trainings.
What should you bring?
You are a professional who is enthusiastic about environmental data and experienced with the emissions data. You have a proactive, systematic and analytical way of working. We also hope you are curious to learn new ways of working like optimizing your work with the help of AI. You should be able to keep the strings organized and lead short and longer projects. Good communication skills are needed to engage internal and external stakeholders.
Alongside with the interest towards data and the usage of it, you have patience to follow the existing and emerging standards related to climate data. You are also interested to follow the development of the global criteria on net-zero, carbon neutrality and how the offset market evolves. In this position you will be cooperating with a wide group of internal and external stakeholders and will have a group of great sustainability professionals as colleagues who can support you.
We also hope you to have:
• Academic degree in e.g., business administration or engineering or similar.
• Minimum of 3 years’ expertise in working with climate and/or sustainability topics including practical experience in emission calculations.
• Project management skills.
• Data analytics skills. Power BI development skills are a benefit.
• Genuine interest in different IT tools and systems, experience in participating in system development is seen as a benefit.
• Fluent written and spoken skills in English.
