Konecranes Information Technology organization develops innovative IT services that help to transform data into knowledge. IT provides services to enable secure, reliable and productive operations around the clock. The service portfolio is wide; from IT services provided to enable Konecranes business processes, through Helpdesk, all the way to the business intelligence and analytics identifying new business opportunities.


Customer Engagement and Services (CES) team is responsible for running and developing IT services that contribute to Konecranes interactions and relationships with its customers – such as Customer Relationship Management, Voice of Customer, Field Service Management and eCommerce. Our cluster is providing IT services end-to-end, including the development portfolio as well as the customer satisfaction.

CES Chapter Quality Assurance is now looking for a new colleague to join the team as a Test Automation Specialist. In this role you will be responsible for the Test Automation solutions which are built on top of Konecranes applications. These applications are provided to Konecranes employees to enable service delivery to our customers. As our Test Automation Specialist, you will focus on building and maintaining Test Automation solutions for eCommerce, Siebel Field Service Management and Siebel Customer Relationship Management. You will also play an important role in ensuring that we adapt to new technologies and innovations in the test framework.

You will contribute to promoting the meaning and value of high quality applications that we deliver to our customers as well as you will active introduce tools and techniques in Test Automation solutions which support “shift-left” approach. In this role, you will work closely with Scrum Team, Quality Assurance Manager and Service Delivery Process and Sales Process Owners.

What should you bring?

For this role we are looking for a person with strong analytical and technical skills who has some years of work experience in testing field and a high motivation for further professional development in this domain. It’s important that you have been previously exposed to automation test strategy, automation testing framework, planning, execution and analysis of detailed test plans.

We also expect that you are familiar and have experience with:

  • Agile, Scrum and Sprint development processes and ways of working
  • open source tools, Selenium, Robot Framework and Jenkins (Continuous Integration)
  • software development with languages such as VB Script, C#, Java, C/C++, Perl
  • version control tools, for example Git, TFS or SVN
  • debugging and troubleshooting

The following is considered as an advantage:

  • experience from B2B or B2C eCommerce

In addition, we appreciate that you have a degree in Computer Science or equivalent and that you are fluent in English, both spoken and written. We value strong teamworking and collaboration skills.
