Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) forms a backbone for Konecranes business processes and includes both operative demand and supply planning processes. 1KC processes is a part of Konecranes strategy that describe common ways of working; how we at Konecranes develop, sell, manufacture, and deliver our services and products, and offer service. We believe that with harmonized business processes and technologies we can gain considerable benefits. ​1KC processes are defined by Process owners and implemented in close co-operation with IT function.

To strengthen our Sales & Operations Planning team and to secure the implementations and development of our internal 1KC process, we are looking for a supply chain professional to join our team in a Manager position. In this role you will be the key driver of our internal processes, concepts and solutions related to sales and operations planning. The focus in your work will be in on ensuring that planned and implemented actions support us in achieving expected results and benefits. In this role you will work in close co-operation with colleagues from different business areas, business units and various countries, as well as other process development professionals and our global IT teams, mostly SAP team.

Your key responsibilities include e.g.

  • Managing the operative tasks related to sales and operations planning as per our monthly process
  • Collecting, consolidating, analysing, reporting, and communicating the S&OP plans with key stakeholders
  • Collecting and analysing business needs as well as transforming them into internal processes and IT/solution requirements
  • Managing supply network planning related tasks
  • Providing support to 1KC process & SAP implementations
  • Managing communication about 1KC processes and systems to ensure efficient information and knowledge sharing to target groups
  • Creating, updating documentations, and running trainings in your area of expertise
  • Contributing to internal projects and initiatives (both development and operational duties)

You will report to Director, Sales & Operations Planning within the Supply Operations Business Unit. This role includes some travelling, approximately 20 days per year.

What should you bring?
We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently and has a resilient and curious mind when it comes to possibilities for improving processes and to pave the way for new best practices. You are a business-oriented person who enjoys tackling business challenges and doing this together with a strong network of top professionals in their fields of expertise.  Even though this role has a focus on development and leading, you are not a stranger to operative responsibilities and tasks. 

What do we expect to find in your skills and knowledge?

  • A suitable academic degree in business or engineering and a few years of experience in working in supply chain development tasks
  • Experience in co-operating with IT and business stakeholders in development projects or programs
  • Fluent language skills in English, other language skills are beneficial

Here are some things that are considered beneficial: 

  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of reporting tools (e.g., PowerBi, QlikView) and data warehouses
  • Experience in data analysis and analytics in general
  • Experience in supply network design/planning, simulations and scenario planning
  • Experience with planning related technologies, solutions, ERP systems (SAP) and concepts
  • Previous exposure to working in an international and multicultural environment
