Business Development Manager

Konecranes Agilon is an AS/RS warehouse system that is used for storing and managing thousands of different components in various applications like production buffers, spare part centres, fulfilment centres. Agilon connects information to material flow by utilising modern cloud-based technology in industrial environment.  

 

We are recruiting a Business Development Manager for Agilon here in the UK. This is a nationwide role, ideally based between Leeds to Luton, but other areas can be considered. The person will report directly to the Director, BL Industry Agilon.

 

As our Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring new prospects and sales opportunities, competitor analysis and market requirements, managing assigned accounts, developing all sales channels together with internal and external stakeholders as well as selling and promoting Konecranes Agilon countrywide to achieve sales and profit targets.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

 

  • Acquiring new prospects and sales opportunities
  • Building and developing existing customers
  • You will configure the solutions, prepare quotations, drive negotiations and close contracts
  • Screening and segmenting assigned accounts as well as planning related sales strategy in co-operation with the Account Management team
  • Meeting the set sales targets adhering to margin, commercial and technical deviations
  • Identifying and managing potential risks related to contract agreements
  • Providing input to budgeting and gathering market intelligence
  • Cross-promoting Konecranes offering

What should you bring?

For this role we are looking for candidates who have a passion for B2B solution sales and in-depth knowledge of intralogistics processes. It’s crucial for the success that you are customer-oriented and as this role is much about interacting and negotiating with customers as well as supporting customers in buying process.

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Technical solution sales experience
  • Knowledge of intralogistics and production processes in different industry segments
  • Leadership experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills in English
  • Experience in international projects and accounts
  • Able to travel 80-90%
