Configuration Owner, MCAD 

Information Technology organization develops innovative IT services that help to transform data into knowledge. IT provides services to enable secure, reliable and productive operations around the clock. The service portfolio is wide; from IT services provided to enable Konecranes business processes, through Helpdesk, all the way to the business intelligence and analytics identifying new business opportunities.

We are looking for a Configuration owner, MCAD to join our Product Development & Supply cluster’s Product Design Tool (PDT) unit. In this role you will be part of the team, which is responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting Konecranes’ mechanical design tools.

Your key responsibilities

• Own technical functionalities of relevant MCAD applications including their integrations to other systems
• Translate functional requirements into IT requirements and system design
• Manage configuration of the system and validates the technical solutions
• Manage and guide vendor contributions in application development
• Guide and support IT Service Delivery and implementation projects

The location for the role will be flexible - Sweden, Markaryd or Finland, Hyvinkää, and you will be reporting to Manager, Chapter PLM Development.

What should you bring

To succeed in this role, you need have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in computer science, mechanical engineering or equivalent and 3+ years of applicable working experience from Mechanical Design Tools area or IT area.

We also expect you to have:

• Strong understanding of business processes, practices and procedures
• Relevant technology/area of expertise related to Mechanical Design Tools especially Vertex G4 and Solidworks knowledge is appreciated
• Good understanding of IT development and maintenance practices
• Good communication and language skills: good English, both spoken and written is required
• Scrum / Agile way of working knowledge being an asset valued on this position
