Being experts within our industry we are now looking for experienced Lifting Equipment Inspector to join our Industrial Service Team; this is a newly created role here at Konecranes will join the new Lifting Inspection team, helping to further strengthen our business and extending our service offering to our customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing regulatory and statutory LOLER inspections on overhead travelling cranes, hoists and lifting equipment.  Document the results of the inspection to the clients, drawing on personal experience and industry knowledge recommend corrective actions or necessary improvements. Additional duties will also include working with the Crane surveyance team, helping to carry out detailed equipment reliability analysis using high end advance tools and processes.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Complete the schedule of monthly inspections, surveys and studies ensuring planned works are completed.
  • Maintain job cost and protect profit margins by working within the allowed hours without compromising safety or quality.
  • Perform inspection of equipment and document findings and make corrective recommendations to the customer.
  • Consult with the customer regarding all production and safety related issues and discuss recommendations that will assist the customer with improving their material handling applications.
  • Apply the contents of LOLER & PUWER or regulations pertaining to our industry.
  • Complete inspection and consultation service reports, discussing production or safety issues and customer feedback received during the visit review.

 

What we are looking for in you:

  • An apprentice-trained or HNC/HND qualified engineer or equivalent who is fully conversant in engineering & maintenance tasks and activities.
  • Experience of inspecting lifting equipment including visual inspections.
  • Demonstrable experience of overhead cranes, hoists and relatable equipment.
  • Hold LEEA qualifications, or equivalent.
  • Experienced in carrying out LOLER & PUWER inspections and completing written reports and statutory certifications.
  • Knowledge of the associated risks when working at height.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as there is extensive customer contact.
  • Proven commitment to safety.
  • Must be willing to work at heights
  • Hold a current driving licence
     
    For your valuable contribution to Konecranes we offer the following Competitive Salary, Paid Over-Time, Company Car or Vehicle, Pension + Life Assurance, 25 days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays. Employee Share Save Scheme (after qualifying service period). Role based on 39 hours per week, with the option to work either 4 or 5 days.
