Service Technician - Industrial Doors, Midlands

One area of particular strong performance is Konecranes Industrial Door Services and due to increasing numbers of customers, right now we are recruiting an Industrial Door Engineer/Technician to join our team based in the Midlands. This role would see the successful candidate being field based providing an installation service, as well as the service and maintenance of industrial doors and docking equipment.


Ideally, we are looking for candidates who have the following skills and attributes:

  • Apprentice-trained/time-served/fitters mate route or equivalent (i.e. electrically NVQ level 3) in a maintenance or installation-related field
  • Basic electrical knowledge – essential
  • Knowledge and/or experience of hydraulics – preferred but not essential
  • Experienced within the industrial door or related industry, such as traffic gates/barriers or  is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work at height
  • A good work ethic
  • IT literate
  • UK driver’s licence – essential

What should you bring?

As this is a supervisory role, we are looking for candidates who are experienced within the industrial door or related industry, such as traffic gates/barriers. Essential to this role is being apprentice-trained or time-served with an electrical qualification such as an NVQ level 3 or equivalent; if you have experience of hydraulics - this would be a plus! Ability to work at height again is essential, as is holding a UK driver’s licence and being IT literate being in possession of all these attributes will bring together all the required components to have a very successful and enjoyable career with us!
