We are looking for a Warranty Project Engineer to support our Global Project Management team in Business unit Port Cranes. In this position, you will be working with global projects and clients. You will be part of our dynamic team of project experts ready to take care of our projects and customers within our business.


job description

In this position, you will be responsible for the handling of customer claims. You will be interacting with several internal stakeholders, suppliers and customers. You will be responsible for leading and managing multiple claims from multiple projects from initiation through completion. You are expected to plan, coordinate, and direct all aspects of the resolution process, including verification, developing a detailed work plan, managing resources, and ensuring that the activities are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.


Job duties

  • Receiving and analyzing the customer claims; initial response within 24 hours
  • Processing and registering notification for claims in SAP
  • Lead and manage stakeholders for completion of warranty claims (design, purchase, quality, product management, etc.)
  • Coordinate and manage warranty project resources, including external vendors
  • Communicating with Customers as required
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Look into the budget, contractual scope, timeline, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage warranty project risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Coordinate with quality assurance and adhere to Konecranes established standards
  • Implement countermeasures proactively.
  • Coordinate for invoices related to warranty claims
  • Coordinate root cause analysis and related corrective and preventive actions with stakeholders for warranty claims.
  • Monitor and track progress of warranty claims.
  • Communicate warranty claim updates and status to stakeholders
  • Prepare and present warranty reports to manager.



  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in relevant field of engineering.
  • Have Project Management experience working for an OEM providing high-value, made-to-order products.
  • Good knowledge of the port crane industry.
  • Must have strong technical aptitude and a desire to fully understand our products and processes.
