POSITION TITLE: Manager, Order Handling, Supply AME

 

REPORTS TO: Procurement Director

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

This position oversees the day-to-day activities of the Order Handling (OH) and Order Management (OM) teams for both the Configure to Order Equipment and Service Supply operations. In this role the Manager will support and mentor the team in daily operations, as well as drive continuous improvement actions.  

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the end-to-end order management process for configure-to-order (CTO) equipment projects; including order entry, scheduling, purchase order execution, and fulfillment.
  • Lead a team of Order Handlers providing guidance, coaching, and support to drive performance and foster an inclusive and positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, and Project Management, to ensure seamless execution and delivery of CTO orders.
  • Develop and implement best practices for order workflow, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and quality.
  • Analyze order data, key performance indicators, process flow to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies for improvement and optimization.
  • Communicate proficiently and effectively with internal stakeholders to provide updates on supply chain order status’ and situational resolutions with a just-in-time urgency.
  • Ensure the best possible customer service through professional customer interaction and management of orders during a project’s lifecycle
  • Lead, train and manage a team of order management staff responsible for the processing of customer orders in accordance with company SOP’s
  • Support the Order Support team Supervisor to ensure accurate and timely responses are maintained.
  • Functional daily responsibility for all order handling employees (evaluate, hire, wage determination, over-time management, etc.)
  • Execute and monitor appropriate customer service response rates
  • Understanding of SAP and developing more efficient ways to input and extract data on a daily basis.
  • Develop and report KPI’s for the OH team
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field or equivalent work experience
  •  The ideal candidate will have experience working in a heavy equipment manufacturing and service role
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including order execution, production planning, and logistics, preferably with proficiency in mechanical engineering principles
  • Proven strong leadership, communication, and personnel management skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in ERP systems, preferably SAP; other system proficiency to include, Outlook, Sharepoint, and preferably the Microsoft Power Platform
