Job Position: Quality Assurance Coordinator
Reports to: KNES/KES Quality Assurance Manager

KNES Quality Assurance Coordinator will assist in the execution of quality related project requirements at for KNES manufacturing sites, remote sites, and vendor activities. Review and organize records upon receipt, verifying for compliance and preventing nonconforming material from being introduced to the value stream.
Overview of Quality Assurance Coordinator Roles and Responsibilities:
Departmental
- Supports all ISO, NQA-1 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B components and projects as required by the base load of the other quality department personnel.
- Assist in the surveillance of commercial suppliers performing work on nuclear business unit components and services as directed by quality management.
- Performs additional quality related tasks as may be assigned by the KNES Global Director Nuclear Quality Role Specific
- Daily work will consist of reviewing provided documentation to ensure compliance with KNES drawings and purchase orders.
- Read, understand, and apply the contents of the KNES Quality System for ISO 9001 and 10CFR50 Appendix B / NQA-1:2008
- Must be team oriented, solutions driven, customer focused and a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Perform final inspection of vendor and internal records before assigning them to the library.
- Communicate discrepancies to the responsible parties.
- Assist team members in preparing and entering Non-conformance Reports
- Responsible for following safety and environmental rules and regulations
- Ensure potential hazards are identified and corrected in a timely manner
Experience -
- 2+ years quality assurance or control experience preferred.
Traits / Skills
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously; and the ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision; must be a self-starter.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Self-directed and the ability to interact with supervisors, engineers, and customers effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
- Strong teamwork and networking skills
Preferred Candidate will have:
Familiarity with Quality Assurance and Control processes in a regulated environment.
Travel estimate: 10% Intrastate (Dependent on location), 5%+ Interstate (overnight)
This position does require onsite work with the option of a hybrid schedule
Education: High School Diploma, equivalent or higher – dependent on commensurate experience
Requirements: Valid Drivers License
