JOB TITLE : PROJECT ASSISTANT / ADMIN
JOB PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILTIES:
Supporting the Project Management (PM) team as follows
· Assist in identifying components of defined project scope
· Collaborate with Project Management (PM) team to facilitate generating accurate delivery schedules to meet acknowledged delivery promise
o Assemble installation dossier consisting of drawing and procedural documentation necessary for installation of assigned orders for the modernization and electrics factory product line.
o Support with QA NCRs to identify project specific components
Specific duties include, but not limited to.
· Attend internal kick off meetings with staff
· Consult with PM team on production processes, selection of vendors, release of approval drawings to customers, collaborate with engineering and purchasing to meet the project deliverable.
· Work with PM team to analyze project components and use communication, technical expertise, and organizational skills to develop solutions and coordinate processes to maximize project deliverable efficiency
· Support PM team in SAP Project to develop process efficiencies in the system (templates, etc.)
· Work with PM team to maintain project documents and identify any out-of-scope request to original acknowledged scope.
· Work with PM team to improve internal processes by increasing component level status visibility for project progress reports at weekly production meetings
· Collaborate with PM team to identify all shipping requirements (internal &external) to meet our contract agreement.
· Other duties assigned by management.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology is preferred and/or equivalent experience. PME or similar certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five years of technical expertise for electrical, mechanical, and field installations relating to the overhead crane industry. A qualified candidate should be able to process technical information and provide technical instructions. Ability to read mechanical and electrical prints.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office. Verbal and literary communication plays a key role in this position. Must have the aptitude to learn at fast pace. Must show ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
