POSITION TITLE: Manager, Sales & Business Development


REPORTS TO: Vice President of Business Development & Marketing


If you are an entrepreneur and are a result driven person who is focused on providing excellent customer service and sustainable growth, Konecranes is interested in you for an Inside Sales Manager role. Being the world’s largest manufacturer and servicer of overhead industrial cranes, our company relies heavily on the leadership of a Sales & Business Development Manager to execute the success of our North American Sales Development and Business Development Representatives located in Pittsburgh, PA USA. The Sales & Business Development Manager will need to be creative, innovative, highly energetic and inspired to build, coach and develop a world-class sales organization.




  • Define strategic methods for conducting inbound efforts to create new sales opportunities from including persistent re-contacting strategy.
  • Focus on demand generation and converting early stage leads into active, high quality pipeline and sales.
  • Cultivate and maintain a culture of constant improvement and routine enablement.
  • Set and communicate clear objectives for the team and individual team members- and hold the team to them.
  • Motivate individuals and team to exceed objectives through coaching, regular broadcast of results and creative incentives.
  • Deliver marketing and sales alignment with initiatives and processes that support strong lead management, lead quality, qualification handoffs as well as improved customer retention and optimization of service agreements.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to help hit key objectives by leveraging buying personas, call framing, sales nurturing strategies and call cadences.
  • Recruit, develop and retain exceptional talent



  • 3+ years of experience managing a Sales Team, preferably in Inside Sales, in a fast-paced, highly competitive sales environment.
  • A history of consistently performing above team quota and being able to forecast accurately.
  • Effectively lead teams with the right combination of data and strong personal leadership.
  • Strength in working with cross-functionality including executive management, sales, operations, administration, and marketing teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering on aggressive sales pipeline targets.
  • Experience in leveraging sales software to manage a high performing team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personalities to reach a resolution and maintain strong relationships.


EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Prior equivalent recruiting experience and training will be considered in lieu of formal degree.
