Design Engineer, Port Cranes

Position description:

Design Engineer - Port Cranes (Port Solutions Engineering)

Candidate with hands on expericnce of AutoCAD, NX & Teamcenter with Min. 3 to 4 years of design experience in field of Crane Industry, Material Handling Equipment, Special Purpose Machines, or any heavy engineering industry.

 

Skill Sets Needed:

  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, NX and Teamcenter.
  • Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of welding, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
  • Ability to visualize and interpret 2D views effectively.
  • Familiarity with 3D NX & other CAD software’s is advantageous.
  • Strong teamwork abilities.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Study and comprehend project specifications and details.
  • Utilize computer-assisted design software tools effectively.
  • Interpret and conceptualize engineering drawings.
  • Employ Teamcenter alongside AutoCAD and NX.
  • Generate 2D drawings and 3D models adhering to Konecranes practices and guidelines.
  • Plan activities within the project to achieve desired targets with high quality.
  • Hand over completed models/drawings to leading engineers after necessary corrections.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members.
  • Adhere to company policies and rules.
  • Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards

What should you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering from a reputable university.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of design experience in the field of Crane Industry, Material Handling Equipment, Special Purpose Machines, or any Heavy Engineering Industry.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Teamcenter; knowledge of NX will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of welding, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
  • Ability to visualize and interpret 2D views effectively.
  • Strong teamwork abilities.
