Job description   


Are you interested in working within the core of Lifting Businesses and Digitalization? Konecranes’ vision is to know in real time how millions of lifting devices and machine tools perform and to use this knowledge around the clock to make our customers’ operations safer and more productive. Konecranes IT’s role is to connect the data from cranes, Lift Trucks, hoists and business processes. We develop and operate services that make that data available to customers, service technicians and use analytics to identify new business opportunities.


The Senior Consultant- Data Platform (D2K) is part of the Global team that ensures business applications run successfully and are error free.


We are looking for Senior Consultant- Data Platform (D2K) with strong relevant experience of 5-7 years and total experience of around 8 years. Preferably a Graduate from Computer Science/ IT.


What we expect from you:

  • 3+ Years of Production support and development experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics area.
  • Understanding of the ETL/Data Lake and architectural principles of data integration and data warehousing.
  • Good understanding of cloud concepts Microsoft Azure (Azure SQL Data Warehouse) cloud solutions, related technologies.
  • Candidate should know how to design and develop application using cloud concepts with at least 1 year of building data pipelines in cloud
  • Strong understanding of Databases (Microsoft SQL Server).
  • Knowledge on data loads (batch, incremental) and effective monitoring
  • Experience on at least one end-to-end implementation, from data source system towards Business Intelligence and Analytics or Portals.
  • Experience with various optimizing techniques in improving the performance of the data loads and database.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ITIL processes and support activities.
  • Min 1-year experience on at least one support project.
  • Experience in handling and resolving Incidents based on priority and severity.
  • Nice to have knowledge of denodo platform


Your responsibilities are:

  • Providing technical solutions and design utilizing MS Azure Cloud technology
  • Handling Service Requests and Incidents
  • Resolving data load issues and be able to resolve them within limited time window.
  • Any adhoc request coming from other applications for monitoring / support in any environments.
  • Providing monthly report on Interfaces/system availability.
  • Participate into Critical Incident resolution and communication process.
  • Develop healthy professional customer relationship
  • Analyze the repetitive Incidents and addressing the root causes in order to either reduce/ eliminate repetitive Incidents or enhance efficiency in handling those.
  • Ensure to fulfil the KPIs like SLA, TAT, Ageing, Quality Audits, etc. based on management’s expectations and guidance
  • Align and realign actions based on customers’ feedbacks, inputs from management.
  • Assist peers, superiors, other IT staff members in day to day activities whenever appropriate.
  • Deliver any other tasks as per superior’s instructions and guidance
