QA Analyst

Konecranes-ECSS has a continuously growing branch in Satu Mare, Romania. This branch is primarily responsible for creating large-scale logistics models and software for operating automated container terminals around the world. We are looking for talented QA Analyst to reinforce our team here.

 

The QA role we are looking to fulfill gives the opportunity to grow and gain experience in software testing processes and to get a closer look at the entire product life cycle. You will be part of a scrum-team (working in the Safe framework) and you will be in regular contact with other participants in the projects (architects, developers, project managers and end users).

 

You will test and support our emulation product suit. These products act as a digital twin of the terminal, connects to complex systems like TOS (Terminal Operating Systems), and ECS (Equipment Controls System), and such executes the processes on the terminal in a digital environment. As a QA Analyst we expect that you understand the complexities of such environments and processes.

 

In your role you will help our scrum teams to deliver high quality software by maintaining the environments, building products, preparing test scenarios, executing test plans both manual and automated. You will also support our customers by deploying and using our products. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing software that operates in a complex environment, connected to several systems.
  • Managing build creation and deployment processes.
  • Gather broad knowledge of our products, make use of basic domain knowledge of our industry for the context of the use of the product and the impact of bugs and changes.
  • Thriving for efficiency and high quality both in its work as well as in our products and work processes.
  • Knowing and applying the agile values and principles, working with scrum and Safe frameworks.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Academic degree in a technical field.
  • Experience with several tools or technologies relevant for the job for example: Java, ActiveMQ, Kafka, GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, Databases (SQL and Non-SQL), Linux.
  • Ability to challenge the norm to ensure best practice and outcomes.
  • Critical thinking, assertive but constructive attitude.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of English, both written and verbally.
  • Previous QA or DevOps experience is a plus.
