Position Title: Technical Coordinator

Reports To: Schedule Manager

 

Location: Any Service Location

Konecranes is seeking an individual with exceptional customer service skills to join our team as a Technical Coordinator. In this role, you will be assisting with the service delivery in your assigned area. You will be responsible for ensuring field operatives have the materials and detail they need in order to repair or upgrade the customers’ equipment. Principal Responsibilities:

 

  • Review work packages for proper descriptions, ensuring estimated hours are correct.
  • Review existing draft purchase requisitions and create purchase requisitions as needed for parts and materials. Submit PO Requests to SAP for processing.
  • Ensure all pertinent documentation is attached to the service request in Siebel.
  • Review job scope and ensure price and estimated margin is achievable. Consult with Branch Operations Manager or Field Supervisor as needed.
  • Update Start & Completion dates based on anticipated delivery of materials.
  • Proactively monitor the delivery of materials, and update internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Assist Schedule Coordinator with procuring parts for on-going service requests.
  • Initiate and oversee RMAs for returns of incorrect parts.
  • Follow and assist in the enforcement of all safety rules and procedures including those established by the customer.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION: Technical Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred, prior equivalent experience and training will be considered.

 

EXPERIENCE: 3+ years experience in the crane industry preferred. Must be customer-oriented, good communication, organizational and PC skills, and be able to prioritize tasks. Comfortable in an industrial environment. Willing to take on new and challenging tasks. Willingness to work overtime or additional hours as needed.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Occasional travel required, possibly overnight. Must have a take charge attitude, be decisive and possess a high level of responsibility. Must be comfortable in a fast pace, growth-oriented environment.
