We are recruiting a Field Supervisor to join the UK Modernisation Team on a full time, permanent basis.

The role of Field Supervisor works within the Projects team – and is responsible for the supervising of SP27 modernisation projects, carrying out large upgrades to overhead cranes from electrcical control gear to uprating the structure. The role will ensure that the Customer’s requirements are being met and that work is carried out safely and to the highest standard. Working across the whole of the UK, on the high end value and risk projects.

This role will provide an opportunity to work all over the UK working across various sites like nuclear power generation/ automotive/ steel/ paper, as such overnight stays will be required.

We envisage the role of Field Supervisor being ideal for an experienced Crane Service Technician looking to take their first step into a supervisory role. 

 You report to the Project Manager - Modernisations.

You will:

• Lead the installation on site
• Project scale from £10K – £1M+ projects
• Supervise the working team onsite.
• Provide technical support to the team
• Provide technical feedback to project engineer and customer
• Be flexible with problem solving
• Require good delegation skills
• Lead communications with the customer
• One to one communication with the project Engineer/Manager
• Ensure all documentation is correct and filled out.
• Spot audits for quality control and safety.
• Site visits may be required
• Specifying parts and components for jobs as required.
• Keeping control of H&S
• Working alongside the service branches

What we are looking for from you:
 

Education/Experience

• Good electrical knowledge/ Mechanical experience/ installation experience / Lifting experience  
• Working with mobile cranes/lifting
• High level standards of Health & Safety
• Be flexible around working hours
• Overnight stays and UK wide travel required
• Be passionate about providing High standard projects.
• Be energised by working for a world-class service organization and collaborating with customers.
• Good Customer relatonship skills
