Welcome to Konecranes! We are seeking a business minded and experienced legal professional with a hands-on attitude to join our Global Legal team as a Legal Counsel for Germany. Your place of employment could be one of our locations in Düsseldorf, Wetter (Ruhr) or Dreieich nearby Frankfurt/Main. 


Your mission:

  • Within our Global Legal team, you’ll support our German management and business operations in various legal matters, reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, EMEA Region. As Legal Counsel for Germany, you’ll manage the day-to-day operational needs of all Konecranes businesses as well as the corporate matters of our legal entities there. 
  • By providing legal advice to functional or operational area managers, assisting in insurance-related questions and advising our local Management Board on corporate matters such as the implementation of relevant group policies and instructions, you’ll ensure that Konecranes’s current and future activities, policies, practices and transactions in Germany comply with all the relevant laws and regulations.
  • In order to protect the organization’s legal and business interests, all our legal documents will pass through your hands: You’ll draft, review, modify and approve legal contracts, letters of agreement, and other documents related to a variety of trade, commercial, financial and operational matters, e.g. sales, procurement and purchase agreements, loans, leases, and employment contracts.
  • Furthermore, you’ll manage the use of external counsels in litigations and other legal proceedings, take legal actions in collection of receivables, and provide legal and compliance training to related stakeholders.


Your background:

  • Qualified German lawyer (2nd state exam in law in Germany), well versed in law and business
  • Several years of work in an international environment of multi-business units/countries, in a law firm, private practice or in a similar in-house position (ideally: all three); professional expertise in commercial, corporate, anti-trust, intellectual property and/or other relevant legislation 
  • Proficient in English and German, both written and spoken
  • You’re an analytical thinker and a people person with good communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
