Position Summary

 

Organize and lead sales activities to offer all standard product range (some special products included) in the area assigned, except for key client accounts to maximize sales revenue to meet sales targets set.

 

Key Responsibilities/Duties

 

Managerial/ Supervisory Role

 

Manage the sales staff and oversee the day to day sales activities and give guidance and also to ensure the sales budget is met. Provide periodic appraisal for the staff and also give on time feed back to the staff. Identify the selling skills and product knowledge required by the staff to perform their assigned roles.

 

Functional Role

 

1. Target new accounts, forecast and explores business opportunities to achieve sales targets for all standard products in area assigned, assist Marketing Manager to develop and implement sales strategies to enhance competitive position.

2. Coordinate and evaluates sales activities to expand customer base and increase sales volume; maintains contacts and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and services territorial accounts directly.

3. Support and participate in sales presentation, contractual proposals negotiations and closure of sales.

4. Manage delivery by liaising with project staff to ensure the specifications of the sales contract are met.

5. Maintain detail knowledge of company products, systems and services and apply it effectively in understanding customer problems, diagnosing requirements and offering solutions.

6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitor’s products, services and prices.

7. Keep-up-to-date on product technology, particularly development impacting on the company’s product range and sales competitiveness.

8. Monitor competitors, movement to update supervisor of the market situation and propose new methods to support sales teams in attaining new accounts.

9. Manage own sales information system records: (e.g. customer and prospect data any analysis of business obtained).

10. Maintain up-to-date files and portfolios of company sales literature, products specifications, promotions, samples and prices.

11. Ensure that files/record on competitors – personnel, products, services and activities are up-to-date and used effectively in analysis.

12. Feedback through CRM on :-

i. Company image as perceived by customers, competitors and industry

ii. Acceptance / competitiveness of company products and services

iii. Unexploited sales opportunities

iv. Technological developments affecting company

v.  Customer business development/activities relating to needs, likely demand, trading weaknesses and reaction to our products and services

13. Perform any other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

14. Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards

 

Academic Qualifications

 

▪ Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a Degree in Engineering or Science.

 

Professional Experience

 

▪ 5 to 8 years of sales experience in a industrial environment.
