Job Description

  1. Manage and ensure project meets internal and client expectations with respect to quality, budget, delivery timelines, and strategy required by Consultant/owners with compliance to Workplace Safety Health (WSH) and prevent any Liquidated Damage (LD) imposed by Consultant / Owner
  2. Co-ordinate all Sales, Design (Mechanical, Structure and Electrical), Technical Department (Project, Installation and Production), Material Department to ensure the effectiveness of management and execution of projects
  3. Maintain proper execution documentations and minutes of meeting to avoid claims and counter claims for delays or proof for extension of time with conduct periodic check on project filling and database to ensure it is properly file and relevant document etc posted for easy reference
  4. Develop and maintain good working relationship with the various parties at site that foster good client ties in the execution progress in order scope of works is not affected
  5. Ensure own installation team and sub-contractors perform and comply with predefined quality scope of work and EHS standard
  6. Communicate with Main Contractor/Consultant/Owner regarding project schedule and site facilities while manage customer changes throughout project and ensure deviations are commercially addressed ensuring configured documents are maintained at all times
  7. Conduct Bi-weekly project meeting with supervisor and feedback on the respective site issue and the progress for the project
  8. Monitor project cash flow and progressive payment claims are timely submitted. (Work In Progress, WIP versus Amount Bill in Downpayment, DP and Progress, PG), management of project budget, cash flow projection, actual cash flow and prepare project cost variance when necessary for reporting to Management
  9. Assist the Technical Manager with working closely with other  departments, namely Purchasing department, Quality Control (QC) and Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) in promoting effective out-sourcing & sub-contracting
  10. Review and approve WSH documents included Risk Assessment, Method of Statement, Safe Work Procedure, Fall Prevention Plan, Lifting Plan, Safety Management System, Permit to Work and ensure the work carry out in safely
  11. Assist Sales team with provide estimation cost for Installation and draft the preliminary project schedule during pre-sale tender stage

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial products project management including with min. 1 years of supervisory experience
  • Min, degree or postgraduate qualification in mechanical, civil engineering
  • Academic qualification in manufacturing discipline would be an advantageous
  • Highly motivated, self-disciplined in challenging status-quo
  • Certification in Suspended scaffold erector, Building Construction Supervisor Safety (BCSS) and Risk Management (bizSAFE Level 2)
  • Prior strong track records in Project Management skills, processes, policies & procedures
  • Industrial products and crane & components industrial knowledge and experience preferred
  • Quality Management Systems (QMS) fundamental & experience 
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Solidwork skills and SAP-Project Management system
  • Strong leadership skill especially in process management, advocate of accountability and ownership
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
