The Calculation Tools – Product Line LLE team develops and maintains wide range of state-of-the-art programs for Light Lifting Products.

 

These tools are connected to LLE Web Configurators which are widely used in daily basis by our Engineers to configure and deliver required products to customers. These tools are responsible for static results, required part lists and inputs for the drawing generation.

 

Our mission is to offer best tools of the entire business to our engineers and thus give competitive edge to Konecranes.

 

We are looking for an Engineer – Calculation tools Product Line LLE, and a new colleague, to join our team. In this role you will develop new calculation tools as well as add new functionalities to our existing tools together with team and other stakeholders.

 

This role will require Excellent/good programming skills using C++ as well as proficiency in Mechanical design calculations. Strong understanding of Mechanical design principles is required.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirement and design specifications for the calculation tool.
  • Software Development: Utilize your expertise in software development to implement the calculation tool using modern programming languages and framework.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and conduct thorough testing to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Must be proficient in reading mechanical equipment and structural drawings.
  • Data Integration: Integrate the calculation tool with relevant data sources, including crane specifications, environmental factors, and safety regulations.
  • Implement algorithms and data models to process and analyse input data effectively.
  • User Interface Design: Design an intuitive and user-friendly interface for the calculation tool, ensuring that it is accessible to both technical and non-technical users. Gather feedback from stakeholders and incorporate usability enhancements as needed.
  • Documentation and Training: Prepare comprehensive documentation, including user manuals and technical guides, to support the deployment and use of the calculation tool. Provide training and support to internal teams and external clients as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous testing procedures to validate the accuracy and reliability of the calculation tool. Identify and address any bugs or performance issues, and continuously improve the software based on feedback and testing results.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and product managers, to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns or challenges.

 

What we expect from you:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering / Computer Science or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Work experience: 3-5 yrs.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#
  • Knowledge on MFC and Visual Studio IDE
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Good understanding of cranes and material handling equipment’s (not necessary but will be advantage)
  • Good technical background with professional experience desirable
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Can do attitude and ability to generate solutions.
  • Create and implement new ways of working, create trust and work in effective manner.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions that meet user requirements and industry standards.
