Compliance & Ethics Officer, Americas

 

Are you passionate about compliance & ethics? We are seeking an energetic and experienced compliance professional with a hands-on attitude to join our Global Compliance & Ethics team as a regional lead covering Americas (AME). This role will be based in the United States. We are looking for candidates in or looking to relocate to the Springfield, Ohio, Houston, Texas, or Milwaukee, WI area.

 

In this role you will be reporting to the Global Head of Compliance & Ethics located in Finland.

 

 

What we expect from you?

  • Proficiency in English and either Spanish or Portuguese is required.
  • Master of Laws or other suitable university degree. On-the-job experience will be considered.
  • Approximately ten years prior work experience, with minimum of five years’ experience of compliance work in a similar position
  • Strong know-how of compliance programs and processes in global business environment
  • Good understanding of anti-bribery laws; understanding of trade sanctions and export controls, anti-trust, data protection or other relevant laws is a benefit
  • Solid experience in conducting internal investigations
  • Ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and prioritize work assignments as needed to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, attention to details, strong analytical power and good problem-solving skills

 

Key responsibilities include

  • Implementation the Konecranes Compliance & Ethics program with primary focus in your region
  • Providing compliance and ethics advice  in your region and helping the local management teams to embed a culture of ethics
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on compliance topics and the Code of Conduct, with respect to compliance-related questions and supporting the regional personnel with compliance & ethics processes and requirements
  • Assisting Head of Compliance & Ethics in developing and enhancing all components of global Compliance & Ethics program, including taking a lead in global initiatives, as necessary
  • Developing training programs and providing trainings
  • Participating in preparation of guidelines and policies in the compliance & ethics area
  • Conducting internal investigations into potential compliance violations

  • Ability and willingness to travel (<80 days/year)
