Maintenance Engineer

The business area of Port Solutions here at Konecranes focuses on lifting equipment and automation solutions within a port environment, equipment includes, Rubber Tyre Gantry, Automated Stacking Cranes to name but a few.

Continuing to support our customer's needs we are recruiting a mulitskilled Maintenance Engineer (Port Service Technician) who will after training, perform the commissioning, installation, and longer-term support of this equipment.

The role will be specific support for key customers in the Essex coastal region.

You will report to the Operations Manager, Port Solutions.

 

You Will: 

  • Carry out mechanical and electrical installation, commissioning, inspection, and testing including service and repair of Port Solution products, such as rubber tyre gantry cranes, automated stacker cranes.
  • Trouble- shooting equipment malfunctions, in mechanical gearing equipment, crane braking technologies. repair and replacement of damaged crane components.
  • Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues
  • Accurate and descriptive problem reporting
  • Complete inspection and examination documentation.

 

You Have: 

  • Multiskilled in Electrical, Mechanical and PLCs
  • The ability to perform task independently without direct supervision
  • The ability to demonstrate competency in the diagnosis, repair and troubleshooting of various cranes
  • Experience in preventative maintenance (oil changes) and light equipment repair.
  • Familiar with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) and LOLER
  • UK driver's licence.
  • Ability to work at height.
