We're looking for someone just like you in Ashby De La Zouch, UK, to take on the exciting role of an Assistant Business Controller. This isn't just about managing finances; it's about helping our service organisation towards profitability and sustainable growth.

 

Imagine being at the forefront of financial decision-making, where your analytical skills and business acumen come together to make a real impact. As our Assistant Business Controller, you'll be more than a number cruncher; you'll be a key player in shaping our financial strategy for the future.

 

Your role involves working closely with our Business Controller ISE UK & Ireland, providing top-notch financial analysis, and working closely with business leaders to guide them through economic challenges and opportunities. You won't be limited to local operations; your influence will extend over regional and corporate levels, requiring strong communication skills and a comprehensive approach to both finance and non-finance aspects.

 

This is a full time, permanant position and hybrid working is available. 

 

Main duties for this role will be: -

 

  • Month End Journal preparation and posting
  • Running and preparing of month end reports
  • Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts Packs
  • Production of Regular KPI reports for District Managers across UK, Ireland, and Benelux Countries
  • Reporting Support for Quarterly District Reviews
  • Productivity Analysis of the front-line operatives
  • Supporting OneStream Reporting of Month End and Quarterly Figures
  • Assisting with Annual Budgeting Process
  • Supporting internal and external audit requirements

 

What we are looking for in the successful applicant: -

 

  • Graduate/Part Qualified in a relevant Finance Course (AAT, CIMA) OR at least 2 years’ experience in a finance role with the desire to study further finance qualifications
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • Inquisitive nature and not afraid to ask questions
  • Accurate and pays attention to detail
  • An organised, proactive, and motivated person
  • Excellent IT Skills, proficient especially in excel
  • VLOOKUP’s and Pivot Tables are often used
  • SAP experience would be a benefit but not essential
  • Be willing to Travel around the UK as required
