We are recruiting a Project Engineer to join the modernisation team full time, permanent basis.

 

The role of Project Engineer works within the Projects team - Modernisations and Installations, and coordinates the activities, resources and tasks that relate to a specific project and ensures jobs costs are kept within quoted parameters and provides progress reports to Project Manager.

 

The role is based in the south of the UK and will require the successful candidate to be willing to travel and stay overnight as and when the project requires this (accommodation and subsistence will be provided).

 

This role would ideally suit an electrically qualified engineer, who is looking to further their career within a project environment.

 

You report to the Project Manager.

 

You will:

  • Conduct project related tasks independently and support the Project Manager in daily tasks and takes responsibility in their absence.
  • Lead projects under supervision of Project Manager.
  • Assist in the preparation of Safety Documentation (SSOW, SSA, RAMS, Project plans, Lift Planning)
  • Ensure site team has all necessary resources to enable the project to be carried out successfully.
  • Meet with the project team (Technicians & Field Supervisors), ensuring that each team member understands their responsibilities and accountabilities.
  • Manage vendor relationships, relaying information between the project management and client.
  • Ensure jobs costs are kept within cost audit quoted parameters and provides progress reports to Project Manager.
  • Coordinate queries and escalates points of concern to appropriate stakeholders, monitoring resolution and updating all involved.
  • Development and innovation: Carry out day-to-day project coordination activities, analyses and improves current ways of working using where possible 1KC processes.
  • Onsite meeting / one to one with the customers
  • Onsite to kick projects off and to close off.
  • Some large projects may require site base work/ working away
     

What we are looking for from you:
 

  • HNC / ONC Electrical Engineering.
  • Demonstrable relevant experience required
  • IOSH preferable
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Must be willing and able to travel (sometime stay overnight required)
  • IT skills (ERP tools/SAP).
