Maintenance Planner

To continue our strong performance and commitment to our customers, we are looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our Konecranes family, based at our offices in East Kilbride.

The purpose of this role is to review new and existing maintenance agreements, assess customer requirements and advising the customer of associated costs where applicable, raising purchase orders and then scheduling Service Technicians to site.  Focusing on the commercial implications such as profit and margin is of great important, so having these skills is of particular interest to us.

This role is within the business area of Industrial Service, offering service solutions and maintenance for all crane brands, for port equipment and machine tools; you might be interested to learn that we are the original service provider for both Konecranes and Demag equipment.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Arranging sub-contracted services and equipment, including rentals.
  • Generating service requests and work packages and assign to Service Technicians.
  • Schedule and dispatch Service Technicians
  • Review of job costs such as labour, expense and materials.
  • Raising and verfication of purchase orders

 

What we are looking for in you:

  • Experience of working in an administrative/planning role.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen, (margin and profit)
  • Good IT skills especially in Excel
  • The ability to focus on meeting weekly performance targets /deadlines.
  • Accurate and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
