Konecranes Information Technology organization develops innovative IT services that help to transform data into knowledge. IT provides services to enable secure, reliable and productive operations around the clock. The service portfolio is wide; from IT services provided to enable Konecranes business processes all the way to the business intelligence and analytics identifying new business opportunities.

We are looking for a Solution Designer to join Data Platform development team. The team provides and develops platforms (MS Azure), frameworks, processes and IT solutions to provide support and gain value for business processes. In this role you will lead the development of end-to-end data delivery solution from data ingestion to data delivery. You will work in multi-project and multicultural environment.

Your key responsibilities
• Ensuring quality of end-to-end data delivery solution and compliance of code & design with architecture guidelines and technology provider recommendations
• Leading code review per release in co-operation with DBA and Configuration Owners
• Defining guidelines and practices for technical design and implementation by partners
• Designing work of Data Vault, Data Mart, Reporting layer or other part of the solution
• Designing work of Data models, data loading jobs, code, DB objects (views, Stored Procedures etc.) considering data latency limitations
• Supporting analytics and data science requirements for BI & DW solutions
• Actively maintaining and developing own expertise and technical knowledge in the area of responsibility

What should you bring
It’s crucial that you have a solid background in BI Reporting and knowledge of best practices in BI reporting and Analytics for global scale companies. You would also need to utilise your SQL skills and previous experience of working with databases and data warehousing. You will enjoy being part of our Agile team if you have a service mindset and you are motivated to contribute to team efforts in achieving results.


We also expect you to have:
• a degree in Computer Science or similar
• previous exposure to MS Azure
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Analytical and systematic way of working
This role requires business travel.
