We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect, Sustainability to join our global team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of complex technical solutions that will help us improve the environmental performance of our products and processes, and convert emerging sustainability-related reporting and data requirements into actionable solutions. You will be closely working with multiple stakeholders, including IT, both business areas, and sustainability.

 

 

Your key responsibilities:

  • Leading the development of systems that enhance our capabilities to collect, maintain, use, and report environmental data for various purposes.

  • Leading the development of systems that enable compliance with the existing or emerging regulations, such as Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including systems integrations.

  • Design scalable, secure, and robust solutions that integrate with existing IT systems and platforms.

  • Prepare architectural documents, including diagrams, technical specifications

  • Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies, and keep abreast of the latest technology trends and advancements to develop sustainability technology roadmap.

  • Collaborate within IT and with business stakeholders to develop budgets and timelines for solutions. Address technical concerns, ideas, and suggestions, and provide a clear rationale for decisions that lead towards cohesive system architecture.

  • Guide and assist with the implementation of proposed solutions, including coding and development activities as needed.

  • Contribute to maintaining and evolving the architecture of the systems over time.

What should you bring?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar role.

  • Experience in software engineering and design architecture.

  • Understanding of various coding languages and technical platforms.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Hands-on experience with complex project management.

  • Knowledge of enterprise integration tools, middleware technologies, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to conceptualize solutions.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
