Job description

Are you fascinated by the possibilities that open when you connect cranes, lift trucks and other equipment with the latest technology and profound industry expertise? Gears, motors and controls that are purpose-built for lifting, lifecycle care in real time, automated operations with possibilities for remote control, using analytics to improve the safety and performance of customers' processes - these are just some examples of what we do.

Konecranes gears, motor and controls, e.g. the Core of Lifting, is one of our ways to differentiate through technology from the competitors’ offering. Core of Lifting is designed and made by Konecranes in-house specifically for cranes and lifting motions. And we don't just design the key components. We also design the interaction between the key components and the software, as a whole, specifically for lifting. And here, the inverters come to play.

Now we are looking for a Project Manager, Inverter Development. Project Manager will be leading frequency converter development projects, communicating and co-operating with external supplier and Konecranes supply, product platform and product management teams.

The position offers a wide overview to the frequency converter usage in various crane applications and visibility to the whole lifecycle of the frequency converter - from the requirement specification until the ramp-down.

What we expect from you

Expected education, skills and experience:

  • Project management experience and skills
  • Experience from frequency converter development
  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in electronics, electrical or automation engineering (or eq.)

What we offer to you

We provide an interesting vantage point of the latest inverter technology, product management, motor controls usage in various crane applications and varying product management tasks starting from the requirement specification to the end of life ramp-down.
