Branch Manager- West

Konecranes is looking for an outstanding individual to fill the West Branch Manager position. This is a high energy leadership role where great people skills are a must. In this role you will be working with the management team ensuring the safety of Konecranes employees and safety of the branch and its entirety. The West Manager will handle all aspects of the branch including people development, sales and profitability growth, financial forecasting, customer satisfaction ensuring a positive customer experience delivering HIGHEST LIFECYCLE VALUE.


This role will also be responsible for staffing levels, ensuring adequate training and development of employees, reviewing and addressing any employee or business related issues that may arise.  Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all aspects of the service branch to meet the sales and profitability objectives. Ensure operations are providing quality services to customers and adhering to Company guidelines.

  • Provide strong leadership to the state team.

  • Generate sufficient sales to meet the forecasted sales requirements by sales category. Ensure proper procedures are followed and documentation is completed.

  • Prepare and submit monthly Reporting package for the branch.

  • Ensure staffing levels of the branch are appropriate for volume of business in line and in line with forecasts and annual plans, being actively involved in the recruitment process.

  • Ensure branch employees receive appropriate levels of training . Coordinating all training requirements with business need and in line with training budget.

  • Review unresolved billing, credit, warranty and goodwill issues and customer complaints. Determine proper course of action and ensure issue is resolved to customer satisfaction and in the best interest of the Company.

  • Participate as a member of the  management team, keeping other members abreast of activities, issues and market information. Participate in strategic business development meetings and projects, as required. 

  • Follow all established safety rules and procedures, including those established by the customer.

  • As a confident and determined individual, you will have excellent leadership skills, and be a well organised self-starter.

  • Annual planning and forecasting (Orders, Sales and Margin),

  • Driving efficient service job planning and excellent delivery as well as customer consultations,

  • Targeting and coaching operational team, 


Five (5) years’ experience in service related sales or operations preferred, however equivalent experience, education and training will be considered. Degree in business or engineering desirable.

  • Must have demonstrated leadership experience, well-developed “people” skills,

  • A basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles,

  • Good written and verbal communication skills and good PC skills, along with presentation skills.

  • Ability to self-initiate actions, decision making, overcoming problems

  • Business acumenements;

  • Occasional travel required, possibly overnight and international.

  • Must have a take charge attitude, be decisive and possess a high level of responsibility.

  • Must be comfortable in a fast pace, growth - oriented environment

  • Work cooperatively with BA Industrial Equipment to support cross promotion and lead generationTransition customer relationships following new equipment installation.
