Konecranes ISE is looking for a Specialist, RailQ3D consultation. This position has a key role in supporting the growth and success of Konecranes’ Consultation Service Product RailQ3D, a Runway survey product, and subsequent Scan to BIM technology-based solutions. If you are a self-starting individual who excels at working with cross-functional teams in a technical space, are comfortable in supporting a team effort, and have a strong technical aptitude for advanced runway and crane technologies, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

As the Specialist, RailQ3D consultation, your main goal is to work alongside the Team Lead, RailQ3D consultation in executing our Runway Surveys based on global design codes while maintaining sound quality and efficiency for the young and energetic RailQ3D team —overseeing the entire process from the start of Scan analysis to the final reporting in a highly professional and technical manner. You will also lend a hand in enhancing our current product process.

In this role, you're at the heart of some exciting team building tasks. You'll be instrumental in optimizing existing processes with freedom to come up with out of the box solutions to ensure they hit the mark with our customers. You will also be responsible for shaping new product processes and implementing the LiDAR technology for Konecranes’ horizon of business offerings. Supporting our regional business stakeholders with the known learning curve as they come on board and embrace our Survey products will be a key part of your day-to-day. You'll also be the process controller for the team members and focus on improving our operations for excellence and providing technical support.

The role is based in our EKC, Pune office – and it goes without saying that the hybrid working is a part of our modern ways of working.

Your key responsibilities:

• Drive the Runway survey reporting timeliness within team.
• Keep a lean approach towards workflow by maintaining quality checkpoints.
• Verify Design of steel structure elements such as Beam, Column, welded-bolted connections, steel to steel, steel to concrete connections etc.
• Understand Industrial Cranes, Crane components & steel supporting structures for overhead cranes.
• Have good command in English language and understanding to communicate with Global Customers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve daily issues while handling of point cloud data and BIM models, learning skills on the fly.
• Apply technical acumen of Structural engineering, Surveying and crane engineering on LiDAR based Product development.
• Showcase knowledge of Technical Report Writing and critical analysis skills.
• Able to drive innovation within Products and continuous improvement of Engineering processes.
• Lead the development of learning courses as required for the success of the RailQ3D consultation support.
• Collaborate with equipment, IT and 3rd party vendors on advancement of processes to meet customer/market needs.
• Provide support to field team and feedback as needed
• All other duties as assigned

What you should bring:

• Sound Experience in working with BIM software TEKLA Structure modelling and detailing (in 3D), preferably steel structures.
• Technical expertise of cranes and 6-8 years of experience in structure design, preferably in Crane supporting Runways.
• Conceptual understanding of structural analysis & connection design.
• Candidates should have good knowledge on principles of Co-ordinate Geometry and 3-D algebra.
• Candidate should have good Communication and Presentation skills in English language.
• Experience related to 3D Scanning will be an advantage.
• Technical experience with Konecranes Consultation Services Products
• Training/Facilitation experience 
• Readiness to work with internal global customers and assist with requirements as subject matter expert.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical Engineering, master’s will be a plus; prior equivalent qualification/ experience and training may be considered as added advantage.
• Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards
