About us

Sitting within the Business Unit Solutions we as Business Line ECSS, offer a wide range of software products and services to automated container terminals. We have two product lines: Implement/Optimise and TEAMS.


Implement/Optimise offers a wide portfolio of testing tools, optimization tools and training to (automated) container terminals, both for their pre-go-live stage and for their operational stage, whilst TEAMS offers real-time software solutions that controls and manages the fleet of automated equipment on containers terminals


Our business line works closely together with the other business lines of Konecranes that produce the various types of automated equipment for container terminals.

We are going through a stage of growth and have the ambition to expand our business, and we need your talent and assistance to help us achieve this in the role of Business Development Manager.


Main responsibilities

  • Lift the Implement/Optimise front-end sales to the next level and create project leads: Get in contact with (automated) container terminals, understand their business, seek opportunities for selling our products or starting new projects
  • Take the lead in technical sales for TEAMS including tender process, customer workshops as well as alignment with customer’s senior management and internal stakeholders
  • Set up product portfolios, together with the Product Lines
  • Work closely with our Product Line Managers, Chief Product Owners, and our Project Managers and set up synergy with other parts of Konecranes to increase our sales



  • Previous experience in a similar role in the industry
  • Someone with a technical background and experience with IT systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other key stakeholders
  • Drive and energy to develop Equipment Control System & Services business and push it on its growth path
  • Ability to build and maintain strong (customer) relationships across different cultures
  • Willingness and curiosity to deep-dive into our product portfolio and the logistical process behind them
  • Excellent communication in English


The position holder is member of the Business Line ECSS management team and reports to the Director, BL ECSS. Due to the global scope international business travel is required.
