Do you get excited when driving through the Rotterdam port between the huge terminals, watching the largest vessels in the world and impressed by some of the most advanced industrial terminals & plants in the world? Would you like to support Container Terminals globally to improve their operations and as a Project manager support their software testing, tuning, and training. At Konecranes, we build a digital twin of terminals that is used to test the actual Terminal Operating System prior to go-live and when new software patches are deployed in terminal operations.  

 

We need YOU to maintain our customer relationships and increase value both for the terminal as well as for our business. As a Project Manager at Konecranes, you will support our clients with the implementation and optimization of their terminal operations. There is a strong international flavour to the job and travelling is involved from time to time. 

Konecranes does also deliver world’s leading Equipment Control Software for automated container terminals and is a leading firm in the industry, with a large client base for container terminal- and industrial equipment. 

 

Over the course of the next few years, we guide you to grow into an experienced Project Manager with a large network, who actively contributes to the deployment and development of our products and services portfolio.

A little bit about what we are looking for in a Project Manager: 

  • 3-5 years applicable experience 

  • Academic degree in a relevant education i.e. with strong analytical skills 

  • Enjoys working in a software factory using Scrum and SAFe 

  • Ability to manage various stakeholders internal & external   

  • Someone who can think “out of the box” and make recommendations that add value to our clients 

  • Excellent writing skills in English language 

  • Willingness to occasional travel (typically 1-4 times per year) 

  • Willingness to work 100% (40h/ week), but 80% is also possible  

  • Enjoys being exposed to customers, build a network and visit trade shows 

  • Prior experience in the ports industry is a plus 

  • Prior experience or exposure in business consulting is a bonus 

  • Prior experience in managing and developing key client relationships 

 

What you will be doing as a Project Manager:

  • End to end project management of solutions 

  • Building long lasting relationships with customers 

  • Supporting customers with implementation and optimisation of their terminal operations 

  • Developing professional network in port industry to promote our offering to existing and new customers 

  • Working with internal colleagues to ensure projects are understood and delivered as agreed 

  • Contributing in project and prioritization meetings about software development and testing (we apply SAFe and Scrum Agile frameworks)

  • Creating status reports, registering orders and invoices (Using SAP, Excel and Word)
