Do you get excited when driving through the Rotterdam port, passing huge container terminals, watching the largest vessels in the world and are you impressed by some of the most advanced automated container terminals in the world? At Konecranes we deliver the Equipment Control Software TEAMS, which plays a pivotal role in the 24/7 operation at automated container terminals worldwide. TEAMS controls the fleet of automated horizontal transport and other automated equipment, finds optimal routes across the terminal, and ensures efficient cooperation between the several equipment types on a terminal.

We need YOU to maintain our excellent customer relationships and find your way in coordinating and balancing project management cornerstones People, Process & Technology. As a Senior Project Manager at Konecranes, you will support our customer with the implementation of TEAMS at their automated container terminal, aiming at making complex port operation simple to manage, and after Go Live help our customers to get the most out of their terminal. There is a strong international flavour to the job and travelling is involved from time to time.

What we are looking for: 

• A strategic thinker with over 5 years of experience in managing complex projects, who thrives in a collaborative, agile environment.
• A strong communicator with an academic background that's refined your thoughtful and problem-solving abilities.
• Someone who's excited about working in a software factory setting, using Scrum and SAFe Agile methodologies.
• A proactive person who can manage budgets, scope, and timelines effectively, and isn't afraid to think outside the box to add value for our customers.
• Proficiency in English and a willingness to travel occasionally are essential.
• Willingness to work (32-40h/ week).
• Prior experience in the ports industry or surrounding logistics is a plus .

What you will be doing as a Senior Project Manager:

• Managing of software implementations projects from start to finish, runtimes varying from several months to several years .
• Establishing enduring connections with our customers .
• Tracking the progress of projects and raising any concerns if necessary.
• Working with key stakeholders to solve any issues .
• Monitoring timescales, budget and scope.
• Supporting the team in any technical difficulties by having discussions and suggesting solutions.
• Being the main point of contact for the customer on a daily basis.
