POSITION TITLE: Production Supervisor  2nd Shift


REPORTS TO: Plant Manager


POSITION SUMMARY: The production supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of our parts machining center by ensuring that safety, productivity, quality, and on-time delivery goals are met. 


Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring a safe working environment through modeling safe behaviors, leading audits/inspections, correcting unsafe behaviors, conducting daily toolbox talks, and utilizing proper work methods, procedures, and equipment.
  • Provide direct supervision to production hourly employees.
  • Works closely with the scheduling and engineering teams to assist with production bottlenecks.  
  • Works with maintenance to ensure PM’s are done and machines are kept neat and orderly. 
  • Responsible for hiring and developing new machinists. 
  • Assists manufacturing engineering in the development and modification of machining processes and techniques along with cost reduction programs to ensure efficient utilization of labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Utilizes available resources to resolve process, maintenance, equipment and/or related technical problems.
  • Understanding of SAP and develop more efficient ways to input and extract data.
  • Calculate daily KPI’s for the manufacturing team and modify them as the business changes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
