  • Develop and initiate methods/procedures for inspection, testing, and evaluation of company products and services
  • Develop/recommend inspection and sampling techniques
  • Make visual, dimensional, and electrical/mechanical tests of individual components, processes and assemblies
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area and perform all assignments in a safe manner in accordance with established procedures
  • Perform precise measuring using equipment such as CMM’s, Gear Analyzer’s, hardness testers, calipers, micrometers, bore gages, and other precise measuring equipment
  • Work within and communicate ISO 9001:2015 Quality system requirements
  • Help develop, setup, and train personnel on measuring of complex components
  • Perform reverse engineering of used, obsolete components, and communicate the data with Engineering teams to develop drawings
  • Perform rebuild analysis of used mechanical assemblies, and communicate recommendations for replacements to customers
  • Troubleshoot and help resolve manufacturing problems and customer complaints in a timely manner



  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Additional education in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, ASQ CQT or CQE, metallurgy, or gearing a plus
  • Experience in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PC-DMIS, Gear Metrology, and SAP a plus
  • 10+ years experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Must work independently
  • Ability to teach and instruct others
  • Understands basic forms of steel heat treating, steel grades, and hardness scales
  • Visual acuity to read directions and drawings to inspect parts closely to ensure that they meet standards
  • Difficult positioning and assembling requiring a high degree of accuracy and dexterity
  • Physical ability to perform work requiring frequent stooping and bending
  • Physical strength to lift and carry 50 pounds frequently. Cranes and hoists available for heavy lifting
